Andrew Lynch is an artist on the autism spectrum. While in search of words to communicate with the outside world he discovered his passion, visual arts. He was placed in Industrial Woodworking in high school, an ill fit for someone with sensory processing disorders. On the insistence of his teacher, he was enrolled in his first art class where he thrived.
The world began to expand for him as his random doodles began to take shape under the guidance of his beloved art instructor. In the next three years he was introduced to numerous mediums including watercolor, chalk, sculpture, and mixed media. Andrew, however, never strayed from his first love, drawing. He continues to spend countless hours at his art desk drawing pictures of characters that bring him and others joy.
He dabbles in stop motion pictures and takes online classes in graphic art to build on his self-taught skills. Andrew has earned awards for his artwork and had one of his paintings featured in Scholastic Magazine. He’s a visual learner who takes inspiration from the bright colors of the world around him while using the old-school method of pencil and paper to breathe life into his artwork. What will his imagination create next?
