This is the first drawing I have ever done on commission, except for the occasional book cover I did in school.  It was definitely a different experience for me, because as opposed to a picture that I have decided to draw on my own, the value of a commissioned drawing is determined by the person for who the drawing is for.  I am happy with the drawing for its quality and realism, but it does not go much deeper than that for me.  Since I do not know the subject of my drawing and did not choose the picture for any artistic qualities that may have struck me, my hope in drawing this picture was that whoever bought this drawing would be reminded of how much they love the subject whenever they see it.  And that is just as rewarding, if not more so, than choosing a drawing yourself.
